Day 4!
Saw some disheartening news today online, and am realizing that it's so easy for me to get upset these days. I used to be so cold... ice cold! (Liquid Nitrogen cold?)The day:
Argument in the morning over getting ready to head out and who's right/wrong bitchy/defensive blah/blah blah/blah... :/ I'm so sick of those.
After that, though, I impressed myself:
China telecom, took a number. (25 ppl to go)
(bike 6-7 mins to...)
Industrial Commercial Bank Corp., took a number and filled out my deposit slip (for rent). (40 ppl to go)
(bike 6-7 mins to...)
China telecom, check-in. (15 ppl to go)
(walk 2 mins to...)
Quik-E-Mart to pay electricity bill
(walk back to China telecom)
China Telecom. 8 ppl to go... wait 20 minutes and settle my internet account stuff.
(bike 6-7 mins to...)
ICBC. 15 ppl to go... draw cash for my savings, then wait 20 minutes to deposit rent.
(bike 4 mins to...)
Bank oC, to deposit my munniez (no line @ ATM)
(bike 10 mins to...)
Home B-)Picked up Aaron 15 minutes after that, and headed to Moon River Diner for lunch - tasty!
Aaron - Chicken philly cheese
AD - Waffle breakfast
Cat - Tuna melt (not as good [bad] as last time)Chatted for a while 'til Evan arrived, then cabbed our way down to the Fabric Mkt.
Picked up my seven and Cat's four shirts, all of which came out beautifully, then picked up Aaron's suit, which looks, IMHO, very classy, then spent a good hour+ downstairs (as it poured rabbits and mice) looking at 15RMB ties... of which Aaron and Evan both bought some. Finally, I made a spontaneous purchase - a 20RMB pair of cuff links. Purple! To (hopefully) match some of my pinks and blues.Managed to ravage a cabbage from the rain storm, and cat threw out Times Square, where we looked for a wristlet bag, and where I enlightened Evan on the ways of the Ferragamo tie. Went to check out Coach and others for wristlets, to not much avail. Headed up to check out HP5/OOTP times, before realizing we had a date with Enoch.
At this time it was around 5:40, and we headed down to the food court (specifically Lisboa Cafe, aka Macao Restaurant) for some iced coffee and darn tart. Good stuff.
Decided to peruse the Plaza (why, 66, of course... *pompous laugh*) for some bigger fish, which we found to the tune of 7000 RMB at Versace (!!!!!1!!1!!!!!11one!!!eleven!!!!) or 5000 RMB in Dior (for a Made-in-China clutch!! wtf, mate?).
Apres said excursion, we headed over to Changle lu to dine with Enoch, but not before raiding the Gucci on the corner of Changle/Maoming. (Dickson Ctr?...) We found just what we were looking for, though it wasn't cheap... so off to dinner it was, hands clutching... air (and wallets sallow with... not-much-cash).Yakitori was AWESOME. Now if only they didn't imply that we tried to cheat them out of two beef tongue skewers. >=P
A quick gelato stop followed, then Better-than-movie-world, where we met up with Smorne and Sam, before heading up to Taipan for a vunderbaar foot massage (to the tune/sight of Chris Rock's I Think I Love my Wife - way more dramatic than we'd have thought!).
A great big thanks to Smorne for helping to make the booking.
(On top of the awesome entertainment last night!!)Last but not least, got home and had a nice few minutes unpacking the day's spoils and chilling... and I'll gloss over the bad news bit to now... which is me, getting ready to tuck my little tush into bed.
Good night!
edit: it's pouring... again!! I do believe I shall sleep wellish tonight.
